Eduardo spent over 25 years as a union activist and member of the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW). He organized and represented workers for 18 years with UFCW Local 1500, where he served as Vice President, Assistant Political Director, and Director of Organizing.

While at UFCW Local 2013, formerly Local 348-S, Eduardo served as Union Representative and Political Director. He was also an Executive Board Member for the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement and the United Latinos of the UFCW, and for over 30 years he was a member and officer of the Hispanic Labor Committee, an advisory committee of the New York City Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO.
